Cheese Tasting with Ça Va Champagne Bar (Sat)

Sparkling wine aficionado and General Manager of Ça Va Champagne Bar in Westport, Sarah Hogan, shares pairings of our artisan, small batch cheeses with her favorite Champagnes and sparkling wines.
A Kansas City native, Sarah Hogan returned home in 2013 after a decade-long stint in Chicago, where she earned a degree in creative writing from Columbia College. She soon found herself immersed in the burgeoning wine and hospitality community, taking a position as the Bar Manager at Accurso’s Italian Restaurant. She joined the team at Ça Va in 2014, and worked closely with owners Caitlin Corcoran and Howard Hanna to grow the Champagne bar into a nationally-recognized establishment known as much for its innovative wine selections as for its warm hospitality. In 2019, she took over as General Manager at Ça Va and continues to further the mission of #champagneforthepeople. Sarah became a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2018. She works to further her education, and the education of those around her, as the Operations Director of Gang of Pour, an industry-focused wine and hospitality education group based in Kansas City.

Expect to savor five scrumptious tastings of sparkling wines paired with five different Green Dirt Farm cheeses specially chosen to marry well together. Sarah and a host from Green Dirt Farm will discuss the flavors in the wines and how the carbonation impacts flavor tasting. Join us for this special celebration event!
