Calling all whiskey lovers! Join us in welcoming Gary Hinegardner, the mastermind behind Wood Hat Spirits, for his first class at the farm! We got to know Wood Hat Spirits through the PBS program, tasteMAKERS that premiered its first season this fall. Wood Hat was featured in the pilot episode – you can find us in episode 8! It was a no-brainer to team up with them for a class this summer.
Wood Hat Spirits was the first craft distillery in Montgomery County, MO and the only one in the country to use a wood-fired still. They are also certified by the American Distilling Institute as a TRUE craft distillery – fermenting, distilling and aging is all done on site. They take pride in using local grains and fruit in their spirits, making them one of a kind.
Delight in five of our cheeses paired with five of their award-winning whiskeys and cordials while taking in the sights of our covered barn on our farm in Weston.
