Father’s Day Cookout with Chef Vaughn Good

Treat your dad to a beautiful summer evening on the farm – one that includes a pig roast, some cold beer (or wine!) or refreshing sweet tea, and some incredible live music! We’ve created this cookout series to enjoy all of these wonderful things, and Father’s Day is the perfect opportunity to celebrate all the hard working dads out there! Join us at the farm for a cookout with Chef Vaughn Good. Vaughn Good, Executive Chef at the Kansas City Westside restaurant, Fox and Pearl, will prepare the supper. Vaughn has been to the farm many times featuring his wonderful charcuterie and meat-centric fare at our popular Farm Table Dinners and Cheese Tasting events. We are super excited to welcome him here again.
Festivities start as early as 3 pm, if you wish to come early and play outdoor games or just relax on the farm before the meal starts. We’ll kick the supper off at 4 pm with a delicious pig roast supper filled with local-fare. At 6 pm, guests will be offered the chance to go on a hiking adventure with us. Your ticket includes Green Dirt Farm cheese board appetizers, a buffet-style dinner, and a fabulous live show from local musicians. There will be a cash bar with wine and beer. Guests will be shuttled to the farm from off site parking in Weston, Mo. This event is intended for adults only.

Our Saturday Cookouts are unique, one of a kind, celebrations of the bounty of the seasons. Because the meals rely on ingredients that are sourced from what is fresh and seasonally available, the menus are not created until 1-2 weeks prior to the event. We know you will enjoy the surprise and delight offered by each meal, however we also understand that some individuals may have dietary restrictions.
