Mother’s Day Cheese and Bubbly

What better way is there to celebrate Mother’s Day than to leisurely sip some fantastic bubbly wines from all over the world paired with our award-winning cheeses? Expect to savor five scrumptious tastings of sparkling wines paired with five different Green Dirt Farm cheeses specially chosen to marry well with the particular sparkling wine or champagne. Green Dirt Farm founder Sarah Hoffmann will be on hand to guide you through the tastings. We’ll discuss the flavors in the cheeses and wines and how the carbonation in the wine impacts flavor tasting. You’ll also learn about how fermentation creates carbonation in the wines (and, much to our surprise, sometimes in the cheese!)
As a special, optional, addition to this tasting event Sarah will host a tour of the cheese making facility on the farm starting one hour before the start of the tasting (2 pm). Join us for this special celebration event! Here’s to bubbly and cheese. — “clink.”
